Children’s Choir is an opportunity for children in grades K-5th to be involved in a music ministry. The choir will learn upbeat songs of praise to sing during Sunday morning worship as well as preparing for the Christmas Musical presented on December 8. Children’s Choir rehearses on Whee Wednesdays, 5:45-6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Christin Wilson and our Chancel Choir Director, Dan Cherry, will be directing this fall.
Chime Choir offers children, grades 4-6, who want something different than choir to learn instrumental songs performed occasionally in worship on Sunday mornings. Chime Choir rehearses on Whee Wednesdays, 5:45-6:30 p.m. Carmen Huffman is the director.
Helping Hands Children’s Ministry Children in Grades K-5 join together in a social setting to complete hands on mission projects that serve our community and church. All projects are made in service to others and given away. Helping Hands teaches each child that their actions make a difference in the world when done on behalf of someone else. This ministry meets on Whee Wednesdays, 6:30-7:00 p.m. giving children an opportunity to first attend childrens choir or chime choir at 5:46-6:30 p.m.

Cradle Ministry is a ministry that shares with the family the congregation’s joy of the birth of a new baby and, again, when the infant is baptized into the church community. After the birth of the infant, a rose is put on the altar the following Sunday in honor of the newborn. The Care Team Leader will contact the family about bringing meals during the first week that the infant is home.
CUMC Nursery is staffed by four adult paid attendants and three volunteers on Sunday mornings from 8:45 – 12:15 to provide a stimulating, stable environment for our infant to toddler age groups. There are also volunteers and paid attendants who care for the pre-school children during the worship service. Contact: Bonnie Stephens, 293-1154.
Children’s Message occurs during the worship service with adults sharing their faith with children in a five-minute lesson. Contact the church office, 293-9215.
